So this was our second photoshoot this month with the Alexanders…And it’s always nice to see them!

Their last photo session was in our Studio downtown Lynden.  They also really wanted to have some outdoor photos, so we waited til the weather got nice.  And boy, the weather wasn’t just nice, it was fabulous!  The Alexanders chose the beach at Point Whitehorn for their outdoor session, which was absolutely PERFECT!

We had a blast on this photoshoot!  But come on, how could we not with beautiful weather, a beautiful location, and a beautiful family!

We were totally LOVING the warm weather we had for a few days!  We’ve been doing lots of outdoor portrait sessions lately, because as you probably know, you have to take advantage of the warm, sunny weather when you can here in the Northwest.

We took Brittney’s Senior Portraits a few days ago in their friend’s backyard out in Ferndale.  We love taking portraits in new locations, and especially when this was yet another day of great weather!  Their backyard was beautifully landscaped and made for a great photoshoot!  Brittney was AWESOME!  She was up for anything, including walking out onto the wobbley floating dock for a few poses…so glad she didn’t fall in!  FABULOUS job Brittney!

Here’s a few shots from her Senior Portrait Session.

(We love to hear feedback, so feel free to leave your comments below)

It was great to see Alli and Emma again!  Their parents, Josh and Jamie, wanted the girls’ portraits taken at a park this time, instead of in our Studio, and Boulevard Park in Bellingham was just perfect.  Boulevard Park made a great portrait background because of the many options: grass, bridge, water, etc!  It was a bit windy during the session, but it actually made for great photos!  And as a perk, after the photoshoot the girls got hot cocoa at “The Woods” coffee shop…Yummy!

Take a look at a few samples from the photo session and feel free to leave some comments!

So we decided to take advantage of the nice weather yesterday by taking the kids to the Skagit Valley Tulip Fields.  And I am so glad we did, as today is a bit drizzly.  The kids had a ball looking at the millions of tulips!  We unfortunately weren’t allowed to walk down the rows, which canceled out a lot of our photo ideas, but I think we still got quite a few great ones..  Check ‘em out…

Skagit Valley Tulip Fields makes a great background for portraits.

And it’s not too late for a portrait shoot down at the tulip fields, but you should definitely book your session soon!

There is also Festivals and Street Fairs going on downtown Mt. Vernon.  Check out events at http://www.tulipfestival.org.

We had a great time with the Alexander’s!  First off, these girls were so darn cute (check out their missing front teeth)!  They also were very well behaved…thanks girls!  Here are a few “sneak-peek” photos from the shoot…
